Editorial Biographies
Amanda Brauman King, MA, LMT, CZB, is a practitioner, bodywork educator, and writer based in Salem, Massachusetts. She specializes in pain management in her massage therapy and Zero Balancing practice and has been teaching Zero Balancing since 2012. With Veronica Quarry, she was co-editor of the book Experiencing the Power of Zero Balancing: Case Studies of Journeys to Health and Wholeness. Rebekah Harbour (née Goldstein-Hawes), BSc(Hons) CMT, CZB, CYT, is a Zero Balancing Therapist and Teacher, currently living in Hawaii and New Zealand. She has a background in Social Psychology, and worked as a Research Analyst for the New Zealand Government, before choosing to serve people through the healing arts instead. She is passionate about sharing complex information in simple ways - through teaching ZB, yoga and sustainable farming practices, and through written and visual communication online. From her Maui hillside cabin she sees private clients, and teaches ZB in the community. In NZ she co-hosts annual Yoga & Meditation retreats, that incorporate ZB theory along with private sessions for all participants and farm-table food.
Mary Murphy, MA, BA, LMT, CZB has been involved in therapeutic bodywork since 1981 as a practitioner and bodywork educator. She is the owner of the Zero Balancing Wellness Center where she practices and teaches. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Chicago School of Massage Therapy. She has extensive clinical experience in a hospital based integrative medical center where she has taught in the medical residency program as well as in professional massage therapy programs and educational conferences on the use of therapeutic bodywork in health care. She has also taught in advanced teacher training programs within the Zero Balancing Health Association. She holds diplomate certification in CranioSacral Therapy and has training with multiple manual therapy approaches. She has a Masters in Contemplative Education program of Naropa University in Boulder, CO. Mary is certified to teach ZB I, ZB II, Alchemy of Touch, Freely Moveable Joints, ZB Geometry of Healing: Advanced Palpation Skills. ZB Expanded: Addressing the Viscera, ZB Expanded: Addressing the Skull, Introduction to ZB, and Advancing Skills Days.
Veronica Quarry, MS, MSPT, CZB uses holistic transformative hands-on modalities to assist infants through adults in preventive care as well as facilitating their healing process. As a Research Associate in Cardiology, Tufts University School of Medicine, she published 27 papers in peer-reviewed medical journals including The New England Journal of Medicine. She is trained in myofascial release and lymph drainage therapy, has extensive training in CranioSacral Therapy, is a certified Zero Balancing practitioner and includes ZB Expanded visceral and skullwork in her practice. Veronica and Amanda King are Co-Editors of Experiencing the Power of Zero Balancing: Case Studies of Journeys to Health and Wholeness. Veronica has two case studies published in that book and two case studies published in Working Wonders, Changing Lives with CranioSacral Therapy. Veronica also enjoys being in nature, participating in physical activities, practicing the 8 limbs of yoga, teaching meditation and leading retreats for people on spiritual journeys to Awaken to their True Self.
Misty Rhoads, Ph.D., LSH, CZB, Reiki Master, has been involved in the health field for over eighteen years. She is a Licensed Health Coach, Certified Zero Balancing Practitioner, Reiki Master, and research consultant with more than fifteen years’ experience working in the energy healing field. Misty studied to become a Zero Balancing practitioner after ZB and CranioSacral therapy helped her overcome a severe health issue. Misty is co-owner of Humble Rhoads to Wellness and is a full professor focusing on health promotion, research/ statistics, and alternative and complementary therapies. Misty has published articles and presented at numerous national, state, and local conferences over the past decade. She studied nursing, including advanced classes for a BSN, graduated from Eastern Illinois University with her B.S. in Community Health and M.A. in Family Consumer Sciences and holds a Doctorate in Health Education from SIU Carbondale. She also taught Anatomy and Physiology and worked on cadavers for medical teaching at the local community college. Misty is currently serving as the Executive Editor for the International Journal of Zero Balancing and Transformative Touch, is a member of the Zero Balancing Touch Foundation Research committee and is conducting research with the ZBTF and the NeuroSynchrony Institute in Austin, Texas. Her research focuses on wellness, balancing the body, mind, and spirit; transformative touch; and trauma issues. Misty enjoys volunteering and offering service days for veterans and offering community educational programs.

Judith Sullivan, NCTMB, SLP, LMT, CZB, CST has been a certified Instructor of the Zero Balancing Touch Foundation since 1989, teaching Core 1 and 2, Alchemy of Touch, Geometry of Healing and Freely Moveable Joints. She developed Zero Balancing Expanded: Addressing the Viscera (formerly Spirit of the Organs), ZB Kids, Zero Balancing Expanded: Addressing the Skull (formerly Secrets of the Skull), and Fabulous Fulcrums. She has just completed editing the fourth edition of the Core Zero Balancing Study Guide. The Upledger Institute published her book Zero Balancing Expanded—The Attitude of Awaiting a Fish published in 2014. It is the textbook for her advanced courses. Judith began her work life in speech pathology. She discovered that movement and hands-on work significantly helped kids improve. Following that lead, she shifted focus to bodywork, her true calling. She is a Certified Diplomate of CranioSacral Therapy and taught CST 1 and 2 for Upledger Institute for 13 years before focusing her teaching on Zero Balancing. She began her study of tai chi nearly 40 years ago and began teaching in 1984 with the Ial School of Tai Chi Chuan Inc. As an expert practitioner and teacher Judith Sullivan has over 40 years experience helping adults, children and infants heal from many painful physical issues. She bridges the healing arts and science by using precise touch for profound results to heal the body naturally.Combining CranioSacral Therapy, Zero Balancing and Visceral Manipulation, Judith treats the whole body/mind matrix of each individual to correct imbalances and restore optimum homeostasis in the body.
