About The Keep
Introduction
The Keep is the institutional repository (IR) of Eastern Illinois University. The Keep collects the research and data, creative works, administrative output, historical archives, conferences/exhibits, historical images, and special collections of the University. These are all combined under one umbrella, preserving and providing access to these materials. The Keep also hosts multiple journals and conference/event sites.
The Keep is an excellent platform for working papers, university documents, copies of published articles, and conference papers. Presentations, senior theses/honors projects, exhibits and other works not published elsewhere can also be published in The Keep. Posting research and data in The Keep satisfies open access mandates for most funding agencies.
The administrative team managing The Keep is:
- Professor Todd Bruns, Head of Scholarly Communications and Institutional Repository Librarian: Chief administrator
- Professor Stacey Knight-Davis, Head of Library Circulation: Technical support and administrative backup
- Professor Ellen Corrigan, Cataloging and Digital Collections Librarian: Metadata specialist
- Library Services Specialist Tina Jenkins, Booth Library Scanning Center supervisor
