Description
On Eastern’s campus there are a variety of food options available to students. These options include campus convenience stores, dining halls, and the campus union. Although these options are available, they required monetary payments including dining dollars, cash and credit cards. While walking through Coleman Hall one day, I stumbled upon a lounge dedicated to students. The lounge included couches, study areas, and the display of this sign that informs that free food options are available to students. In the lounge, there was a refrigerator and counter full of snacks and drinks, alongside a suggestion list for students to have input on options they would like to have in the lounge. This resource is refreshing and beneficial because many students face food disparities and it is very responsible of Coleman Hall to not only recognize this, but to help bridge the gap altogether.
