Relationships with alcohol affect individuals in a variety of different ways, especially amongst the collegiate population. With alcohol being easily accessed and consumed within this population, potential conditions such as depression, substance abuse, dependence, and addiction are lurking around openly. Alcohol can be used as a stress reliever, social scene catalyst, or an imprisonment. This all depends on the person. Relationships with alcohol and its presence in food and diet is a major factor of one’s lifestyle that can influence social determinants of health and outcomes.
