Description

Marathon Oil Refinery built in 1906 and has the capacity to refine 253,000 barrels of crude oil per calendar day. It is committed to safety while limiting its environmental impact and by supporting the local community through several organizations and programs. For example, Marathon supports nutrition on weekends at local Crawford County schools, meals on wheels, and a community swim day at the Robinson city pool. Marathon Oil Refinery awarded the Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR certification recently between 2018-2021. The refinery employs approximately 650 full time employees, but it is the economic benefit that brings on even more business and jobs to Robinson which enhances economic stability.
