Description

In 1866 photographer Alexander Gardner published a two-volume work containing prints of approximately 100 photographs he had taken in the field during the Civil War. Selected photos from that collection were on display as part of Booth Library’s exhibit, “Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War.”
