The Center for Student Innovation is a planned development of some 4900 sf of the ground floor of Booth Library. It includes three large areas: an Innovation Gateway and Community Wall, an Active Learning Classroom with integrated Design Lab and adjoining breakout rooms, and a Collaboratory. Each of these are explained below. (There will be an adjacent Studio, which can be developed with internal funds later.) The Center (or CSI) is designed with outcomes in mind: programming and use has shaped plans for lighting, flooring, and acoustics, furniture, and technology, as well as staffing.
