Introductory and caption text from “Fantastic Covers,” an independently curated exhibit on display at Booth Library, Eastern Illinois University, October-December 2008. The exhibit featured cover art from a collection of pulp science fiction paperbacks and magazines dating from the 1950s to the early 1970s, housed in the library's Special Collections.
