Abstract

JAMES JONES LECTURE SERIES: LIZ BORGWARDT The Atlantic Charter and the Genesis of the Modern Human Rights Regime will be the theme of this year’s James Jones Lecture at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, in the Lumpkin Auditorium. The lecture will be presented by Liz Borgwardt, author of "A New Deal for the World: America's Vision for Human Rights." Borgwardt specializes in the history of international law and human rights. A professor of history at Washington University in St. Louis, Borgwardt has earned degrees from Harvard Law School and Cambridge University, and served as a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the University of Heidelberg. The James Jones Lecture Series is co-sponsored by the History Department and the College of Arts and Humanities. For more information call 581-3310.
