Eastern Illinois University Botany Department Chair, 1923-60.
Dr. Stover was an active member of the Illinois Academy of Sciences, serving on several committees, He also served as the chair of a Botanical Society of America committee on teaching.
Dr. Stover was a founding member of the Eastern Illinois State Normal School College Orchestra. He played cello as a founding member of the orchestra in 1924 until at least 1949.
