Booth Library’s 13th annual Edible Book Festival was held April 17 to celebrate National Library Week. This year’s competition was called “Peep Into a Book.”
Patrons were encouraged to create book-themed dioramas featuring Peeps™ as the main characters. Craft supplies and other objects could be used to complete the diorama, which was connected to a book in its theme or content.
Nineteen entries were on display throughout the day on April 17 in the library’s Marvin Foyer. Members of the public were invited to vote for their favorites.
The winners of the “Peeples Choice” awards were as follows:
First place: Akanksha Christeena Bolleddu, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” based on the book with the same title.
Second place: Akshitha Yerragunta, “Kissing Booth,” based on the book, “The Kissing Booth.”
Third place: Jayden Craig, “Magic Tree Peeps,” based on the book, “The Magic Tree House.”
