Description
Sandtray is client or supervisee led and allows for expressive and projectiveexperiences using sandtray materials with the facilitation of a trainedtherapist (Homeyer & Sweeney, 2023).The collection is supposed to hold the possibility for the client to capture and spontaneously symbolize their internal and external world.Important categories/types of figures include, but are not limited to, nurturing, emotional, aggressive or conflictual, movement pieces such as vehicles, stability pieces such as rocks, natural elements, magical and mythical, religious symbols, multiculturally inclusive figures, animals, environmentalpieces such as bridges and fences, furniture, buildings, illuminating objects,birth and death figures, and even broken objects can be facilitative (Perryman et al., 2016).
