Description
Black and white photograph of Capt. Charles B. Hall, a former Eastern student (ex '42) who enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1941, joining the Tuskegee Airmen and becoming the first African-American pilot to shoot down an enemy aircraft during World War II. (Of note, Hall was also Eastern's first African-American athlete, joining the football team in 1938.)
