Evolution of Housing & Dining
This collection of documents tells the story of how EIU became a residential campus, including articles about where our administrative offices have been, and why their locations were changed. After Pemberton Hall was built, the next major housing development was in response to the influx of students from the GI Bill. The year 1970 saw the demise of the old Dean of Men and Dean of Women model and a single department was created. You will find the Study that prompted this change. Additional documents that highlight changes in the department’s leadership. Further documents will be added as they are discovered or produced.
