Description

Conservatism Amongst Racial Minorities

Historically speaking, racial minorities have, most notably, voted with the democratic party. Of course, there are plenty of outliers, but it’s common knowledge that the Democratic Party has most of the black, brown, and Asian vote—the reason why is relatively simple. The democratic party usually runs on a platform of inclusivity and takes an apologetic stance to past racial injustices committed by the American government. Voting democrat increases diverse representation and, overall, means more space for underrepresented groups. Does this mean that racial minorities always hold leftist values, or do racial minorities vote for whichever party promotes their acceptance?
