Funniest Pun was introduced as an award category for the first time in the 2014 Edible Book Festival. The inaugural winning piece was David Bell's Forest? Gump. David has participated in every Edible Book since 2011 and won the People's Choice Award in 2012 for Gourd of the Rings (another pun!). With his penchant for punnery, David could be a contender for many future Funniest Pun awards.
