Black and white photograph of EIU President Quincy V. Doudna (seen from behind) shaking hands with Illinois Governor William G. Stratton, who visited Eastern on September 18, 1958 to participate in the dedication of five new campus buildings and to attend the centennial reenactment of the Lincoln-Douglas Debate in Charleston. The buildings dedicated were Buzzard Laboratory School, the Student Union, and three women's residence halls.
